Butterfly Lighting
why: creates equality within the picture. have a soft feel to the picture. it can help fill shadows as well as wrinkles
How: Have your subject face directly at the camera. Then hold the camera above the subject at about a 45 degree angle behind the head. A shadow will appear under the nose, chin, and eyes. But still making sure the eyes are lit. The shadow underneath the nose should create a shadow that looks like a butterfly.
